In case you have felt neglected prepare yourself for an onslaught of use tomorrow as we run the Charles Dickens out of you at the holiday cookie swap at KAM. With all your fancy gadgetry we expect nothing but greatness in serving-up the finest eggnog cappuccinos!  Because really… why wouldn’t you?  You have always been one to impress our guests so I know you won’t disappoint.  And seriously, what could go better with cookies?  I knew you would understand.

2 Days of Reindeer Games

Things are getting cozy at KAM Appliances this weekend.  We have two days of free workshops for the public thanks to Miele International, our kitchen host for the ultimate in holiday fun.  Chestnuts will be roasting, nog will be sloshing, and festiveness of all kinds will be waiting  for you!

Sunday 12/7/14- Operation Cookie Swap

From 11 AM to 3 PM  a holiday cookie exchange will be in effect!  We will be making some “naughty” biscotti  for those in need of a chocolate fix along with some plush coconut macaroons that are gluten-free for all to enjoy.  The idea is that everyone will bring a dozen of their own favorite cookies with the intent to swap them with the other attendees.  After swapping everyone goes home with an assorted stash to package-up and send to friends and family or just eat as they wish.  We don’t judge.  😉

Alternatively, anyone unprepared to swap, in need of recipe support or just wanting to have a play day in the kitchen, please  don’t hesitate to drop-in!  This is our day to make a mess in a casual cookie environment.  Give your kitchen a break and come make a mess in ours!

• A suggested 1 dozen of your favorite cookies (for those wanting to participate in the swap)

Monday 12/8/14- Curried Squash Soup w/ Bread Bowls

Curried soup, blah, blah, blah.  The real excitement is eating your soup out of a homemade bread bowl!  Come to KAM on Monday and learn how to impress this holiday season by serving up hearty soups in artisan bread bowls.  The Miele kitchen has a steam oven feature that produces commercial quality crust and is begging to be toyed with.  Come experiment on-site in a casual bread making workshop and I will give you tips for how you can get similar results at home.  All materials will be provided.
